Product Description
The Sunamp Thermino 70e Thermal Battery is only heated by grid electricity and is made to create household hot water. This can be used as a flexible and space-saving substitute for a hot water tank that has an immersion heater. The Thermino e range enables inexpensive electric water heating when used with a charge timer and a variable power tariff. Due to its smaller size and lack of venting requirements, the Sunamp offers complete installation location flexibility.
Charged via grid electricity using a 2.8kW immersion element.
Ideal for installation in a studio apartment, or for off grid applications in a caravan ot boat
Stores around 3.2kWh, approximately equivalent of a 65L hot water cylinder
Weight: 74 kg
Tech Tips
Thermal Storage & Cylinders > Heat Batteries
Modern thermal stores known as "heat batteries" use a high performance phase change material to produce hot water that flows quickly. consistently, securely, and effectively. heat batteries will fit in most houses and save on crucial storage space because of their size, which is up to four times smaller than a comparable hot water cylinder.
They don't need to be maintained every year and are also simple to install and more environmentally friendly.
Super-compact thermal batteries
How it works
Storing heat and releasing it on demand
Optimising renewables
Thermal batteries support the electrification of heat.
They work with heat pumps, wind and solar, grid and microgrid electricity, waste heat, combined heat and power (CHP) and boilers.
And store 4 to 10 times more energy than conventional materials.
Sustained with Plentigrad
Plentigrade technology stores energy in our high-performance phase change materials and releases it to give hot water, heating or cooling on demand.
Long lifespan with best-in-class reliability rating.
Wide temperature range
Plentigrade discharges at a consistent, controlled temperature.
Reliably, safely and efficiently.
This means thermal batteries can be used to freeze (-30°C), refrigerate (5°C) or warm (58°C), and even sterilise (118°C) in many different settings.
Making homes, buildings and industry more energy efficient and sustainable
Combining low-cost materials, exceptional long-life and recyclability, our energy-dense batteries deliver a low-carbon solution for freezing, cooling, heating, steam, and hot water.
